CARA foster carers rescue suitable dogs, cats and other small pets from the pound and care for them in a safe and stable home environment. During this time, the animals are microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, treated and checked by a veterinarian in preparation for adoption.
Caring for the animals at home enables foster carers to become familiar with their traits, personalities and requirements. This in turn means that carers can assist prospective owner to make an informed decision about adopting the right pet for their lifestyle.

Polly is quite a character. Always an expressive cat, Polly can often be heard breaking out in her distinctive meow (actually more of a trill than a meow) from down the hall, before walking up to you and demanding pats. Polly absolutely LOVES her pats! Although she is a bit wary of new people, she overcomes this initial hesitation with amazing fortitude given the prospect of a new pair of hands from which she can get a scratch behind the ears.
Polly has become more and more outgoing during her time in foster care. While she still isn't that keen on being picked up or sitting on your lap, she will put up with these things without much of a fuss if she needs to. She will be most happy in a quieter home and enjoys being the one and only adored pet of the household.
Polly is very happy to be an indoor cat - in fact I think she prefers it that way - meaning you don't have to worry about sun burn with her white fur. She is also fine with being left home alone all day so would suit full time workers.
Polly is a lovely and entertaining companion. She is also and incredibly rewarding cat who has developed from a nervous young girl into a loving and, most of all, incredibly happy cat.

We need help to find a special home for Millie. Millie and Poppy are sisters 11-12 months old approximately. They are both sweet natured, inquisitive, cheeky and playful.
Mille is very sweet natured, she is quiet and affectionate and is in her element snuggling on the bed with us at night time.
Millie has been diagnosed with a heart condition and does require some medication. She has been doing really well on her medication and is as bright, happy and active as ever! She’s a good girl and gobbles her tablets up in her food. They enjoy each others company, although like most cats they are independent and happy to spend time apart. Both cats have been a pleasure to come home to.
We are looking for someone very special to adopt Millie. If the option is available be would home them together if anyone is interested.

Rosie is a very fluffy cat, although still very kittenish. She has amber-coloured eyes and loves snuggling down with people. She loves to follow you around the house and rubbing against your legs. Rosie starts purring even if you look at her, she is very adorable and good company; she would be a great pet for anyone that loves cats.
