Hi Guys,
We couldn't be happier with our pair! We've had Ella and Winston for a bit over 6 months now and they have settled right in. They are best buddies and do everything together. They are still obsessed with food... sometimes they don't even chew! They have put on quite a few kilos but our vet assures us they are very healthy. They are both very active. Their favourite thing is to go running in the nature strip behind our place. They even go for a dip in the dam when they aren't too busy chasing each other around. They also love chew toys, although their favourite game is tug-o-war with a stolen sock.
They both LOVE attention. They can not get enough pats, cuddles and belly scratching. Wherever we are in the house they are usually nearby, just happy hanging out with us. We even installed a dog-door so they can come and go as they please.
Ella is still the "alpha female" but Winston has definitely been defending himself a lot more lately. He is slowly becoming more confident with people and other dogs. Its been interesting watching their distinct personalities develop.
They have regular trips to the dog park and went to the "Dog's Day Out". We've had a number of trips to Sydney and discovered Ella loves being in the car while poor Winston suffers car-sickness.
We still can't believe how lucky we are to adopt such great dogs! Thank you so much for saving and fostering them until we were fortunate enough to find them.
Cathy & Gerard

Sal’s picture caught my eye at the Million Paws Walk, his description exactly matched what my daughter was wanting, with the bonus of being house trained and old enough to cope with our Great Dane and Jack Russell.
The first 24 hours we thought we had brought home a cat high on drugs, Sal was so full on, into everything, testing everything, even Tasting everything and never missing an opportunity to growl, yes growl, at our poor elderly gentleman resident cat.
I kept remembering Amy’s description that he was the naughtiest cat and thinking, ‘heavens, I had no idea she meant This naughty!’
However, it’s only been 4 days and Sal has settled in to being simply an active, playful 6 month old who is happy to curl up on our laps when he’s been zinging around for a while. He and our other cat are now sniffing noses tentatively, and even briefly shared a food bowl. Sal has quickly trained us not to leave any food scraps about too, a bonus in a house of teenagers!
It is already hard to imagine the household without Sal.

We went out to see Cara at the Tuggeranong Dogs' Day Out and met Bailey. Paula contacted us that day to see if we wanted to come out and have another look at him and so we did and never looked back from there! He loved us and we loved him!... Here are some wonderful photos that we would like to share - some are by himself and some are with his two favorite people. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect dog he fits in to this family so well. He adores the children and they adore him. I wanted to share with you all our story as we are so happy that we had saved such a gorgeous kind-hearted puppy and it saddens me to think he wouldn't have been with us if not for CARA. So before you go buy yourself a breed dog think about all those other beautiful dogs that just need some TLC! Thank you foir letting us share our story, Sarah, Chris, Joel, Chloe and Bailey xx

Can you believe it's already been four months since I came to live with my new family! I'm having a great time. Mummy and Daddy love me heaps and heaps. Sometimes Mummy spoils me too much - for a while there I was concerned that I was going to lose my girlish figure but they've got me back into healthy eating now. I have lots of raw chicken, lamb chops, bones and then Mummy sometimes cooks up meat, rice and vegies which is kinda like what you used to make for me - yummy... Woof! I see Ruth from Aussie Pooch now and then. She comes over and gives me the works, manicure, pedicure, shampoo and blow-dry. And when it comes to a good blow-dry, Ruth is the best. Mummy and Daddy have had to go away for a few weekends so they've taken me to the suites at Canberra Pet Care. The girls there are really nice, they love me... Woof! I have my own room with a bed and tv and usually there is someone in the suite next to me that I can talk to. The girls take me out for walks and before I come home they give me a lovely bath. I do love to go on holiday there but I also love it when Daddy comes to pick me up. Mummy said I'm having an outing today, I got a bit excited but then she told me it's to the vet to have my annual injections and check-up - grrrrrrr! I'm missing you heaps but wanted you to know I am happy and well. Woof, woof, woof!! Lexie-Lou xxx
